As Children of God, we have the assurance of knowing that our true value in life comes from being made in God’s image and being loved by Him. However, we also have the responsibility
of being lights unto the world, reflecting glory to God by the excellence with which we live our lives. Nic Vujicic was born without arms and legs, but this didn’t hold him back in his pursuit of excellence! Today, Nic tells us about how his dad always pushed him to do his best in school and how this taught him the importance of doing his best in every area of life:
Colossians 3:23-24 says, “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward.” Matthew 5:14-16 says, “You are the light of the world…let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” In today’s “results” oriented world, it is important for us to remember that it is not our results that define who we are or our value in the eyes of God. Instead, we should make it our mission to always do our best in every area of life, doing our work heartily unto the Lord, and bringing glory to him in everything we do!
