Memrey Casey is a counselor who works with people, especially women, who’ve experienced verbal, physical and sexual abuse. Memrey’s helped women and men make sense of their past in order to move forward in living their lives for God. There’s healing when we open up in a safe place. We all have brokenness in our lives which cause us to hide certain things because of shame. We’ve all made mistakes and been victims, too. This makes the Good News of Jesus Christ so good. Romans 5:8 says, “For God demonstrates his own love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Let’s remember God’s word of assurance in Jeremiah 33:6, “I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security.”
