Isaiah 55:9
Doug Mazza was searching for purpose in life when his son was born with a rare condition. God answered him in a profound way. Up to this point, Doug could only see suffering and extraordinary pain for his son, Ryan. The depths of his search for meaning brought Doug to the place of surrendering his life to Jesus Christ. Doug says, “I asked God to save my son’s life and he saved me. I asked God to show me the purpose for my son’s life and he showed me the purpose for mine.” Only the Lord could do that. The purpose God has may come in unexpected ways because as Isaiah 55:9 says, his, “thoughts are higher than ours.”
