Alan Leigh was a hippie who pursued a life of pleasure as a traveling musician in Los Angeles. He went home to visit his mother. Alan was stunned by an abrupt message from his mom about going to hell if he didn’t trust Christ. He was offended. His mother and another brother who was a pastor, kept reaching out to him. Over time, his heart softened. Romans 10:9 says, “That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Alan was saved from sin by trusting in the finished work of Christ. Have you been resistant? Has your heart softened? Maybe it’s your turn to surrender to Christ.
