He speaks of friendship and accountability in connection with one of his best friends who graduated from USC. We can all mess up. The path to destruction is subtle. We’re so easily blinded by the enticements of glory, power and prestige. What is it that protects us from going off track? God places people in our lives – friends who keep us in line. Someone who corrects us and we listen (no matter how sophisticated we become or think we are). Proverbs 12:15 says, “The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man is he who listens to counsel.”
