Rendell Bourg was given an opportunity to own a business that was in distress – no one else wanted it. He acquired the business, but at that point there was just no income. Seven years went by before any money was made. On the eighth year they began to turn a profit and the business has continued to grow. It wasn’t the successes God used to prepare Rendell for this opportunity, it was what seemed to be his failures. Lessons learned during years of trial included paying off major obligations shaped his character, emboldened his courage, and developed his sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. James 1:4 says, “And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” Rendell has prospered. Through testing and perseverance, you will, too!
